Buckets perceive pressure of combustible fuel and transfer it through connecting rods to an engine bent shaft. Among МСС the special buckets having a star-shaped combustion chamber are applied. The basic components of the bucket are the piston head, a zone of rings with piston rings, a skirt and lugs for a piston finger. Piston fingers are fixed by retaining rings in lugs of buckets. Two top piston rings (ring gaskets) interfere with a blowby from a zone of combustion of fuel in an engine crankcase. Bottom (oil-control ring) removes surpluses of oil from walls of cylinders and dumps them in an engine crankcase. Connecting rods connect buckets to an engine bent shaft. On fig. 1 are shown Mercedes spare parts bucket with connecting rod. At their assembly and installation it is necessary to execute following operations:

- To pick up necessary Mercedes spare parts;
- Before assembly attentively to inspect surfaces of buckets (in the event that new buckets are established). To check up diameters, dimensional groups and two last figures on a parts book which should be designated on buckets and correspond to adjusting requirements;
- At replacement of connecting rods to pay attention to heels of covers of bearings where there can be centre mark one or two dot labels which define dimensional group of liners of bearings;

- To grease piston finger and to press it in bores of lugs of the bucket and the barrel of a connecting rod approaching on diameter nozzle . To establish from both parties retaining rings of a piston finger, having convinced, that they have well sat down in the flutes. To establish the bucket with a connecting rod in the engine follows so that the arrow 1 (2) on a piston head specified fig. on a front part of the engine, and guiding petals of 2 liners connecting rod bearings have been located on the left side of the engine;

- To be convinced that after assembly the bucket freely turns in both parties on piston finger;

- By means of nippers for piston rings to establish rings on the bucket, paying special attention on correct sequence of their installation. Compression rings can be mixed easily places, therefore pay attention to their sections and an arrangement on the bucket. On fig. 3 sections of rings and an order of their arrangement are shown.
